BACK TO 1256 - VIDEO CLIP

The video we have created can be visualised by fourth grades in the area of Social Science. In this way, students will be able to compare and analyse some differences between the present and the past (XIII century):

  • Awesome landscapes that have been replaced by buildings and roads.
  • Healthy food that has been substituted by fast food.
  • Male supremacy which is being switched into gender equality.
In the video, a couple from the present travel in time to 1256 thanks to an awesome dream. There, they meet an other loving couple who show them habits, attitudes and landscapes they have in that period of time. In this line, the “modern couple” exchange with them their own belongings such as masks and doritos. Moreover, they emphasise the importance of the equality among men and women, what seemed to be impossible to achieve during the 13th century.

The filming of the video has been possible due to a travel to Buitrago de Lozoya, a beautiful village located in the north of Madrid. That village conserves awesome elements such as the wall, which was made during the IX X and XI centuries.

According to an important technological device that have enabled us to record amazing videos, Adrián could bring a drone, which was able to fly far away and film in high definition. Due to the fact that Adrián is in love with this kind of “birds”, he brought another one, which had an accident and fell down in a muddy pool.

Then, the different scenes and the music that accompany the video have been mixed thanks to IMovie, an excellent ICT tool that facilitates linking different videos, adding visual effects and different sounds to make it more engaging.

Here below you can watch the video. Please, leave a comment only if you enjoyed it!

FAVOURITE P.E. GAMES

Physical Education lessons start with a warm up. After that, it´s very important to engage your students to your class with challenging games. Here, you can find some of the games I have played with them. I'm sure that they will be very profitable for all of you.      - Tic Tac Toe: It´s known as "3 en raya" in Spain. The gruop is divided into 2 teams. They have to pick up the t-shirts from the floor and place them in the correct hoop in order to have three of the same color in a row.      - Spiders: Four students will be selected. They will have to move as spiders do, trying to catch other students. If one mate is taught by other one spider, both will have to catch the rest of students. The last student that is taught by a spider will be the winner.

ENJOY YOUR SUMMER, ENJOY YOUR LIFE

ENJOY YOUR SUMMER, ENJOY YOUR LIFE Today, it´s a good opportunity to show you how to create a podcast.  First of all, you will have to write the script related to the information you want to transmit to your pupils. Regarding to the thematic of my podcast, I opted to talk about motivation and personal development. Hence, students will be able to think about it during their summer holidays. Once you have done it, you can record your voice saying the content of the script. Remember that you have to engage your students, so I recommend you change the level of your voice continuously.  When you have the file with your voice recorded, you can download the app Anchor. I have selected it because it´s very useful to add some details to your podcast and upload it. You will be able to find many sounds gathered in different sections depending on their thematic. Moreover, you can put them at the beginning of the audios, between them or just at the end.  Finally, I could embed properl...
Genial.ly for creating presentations.  The teacher told us to create a presentation in order to know the different tools that many apps facilitate us to present a content.  I chose Genial.ly because there are many drafts about many topics you can modify with your information. As I wanted to create a presentation about plants for second graders, a draft based on natural drawings was selected. Moreover, you can add images and use it as easy as a power point.  Finally, we were taught about the importance of including a cover with the title of the topic, an index that show the audience how your presentation is going to be structured, the conclusions of your research and finally, give words of thanks.
