Pinterest is an excellent content curation tool that has be chosen to group different acitivities of plants. Many people use this tool. In this way, those who are interested in teaching the unit of plants will be able to see 5 pins that I consider essential to use in class. Moreover, you can search for new content related to the topic you are teaching about and adding new pins when you want! That appears in the right-top of this blog.
1- The fist one is a video that you can search on YouTube. It will be very useful for introducing the topic essential to be watched by the children. That´s because the success of the kids in the next activities will depend on the reproduction of tis video.
2- Then, they will complete a worksheet to know if they have paid attention to the video. They have to fill the blanks with the name of the parts of a plant.
3- In the third activity, they will have to read a "book" of storyjumper. The clear explanations and the images will help the students to know how plants grow.
4 - There are some steps they can follow at home if they want to plant a seed. It´s more meaningful for students to have an active role and build their knowledge. How would you put that in practise better than planting their seeds?
5- Finally, they can visit the wordwall website and complete a quiz about plants. Teachers will be able to see how much have their students learnt.
Nice post Diego! I really liked the idea of making practical tasks in class and reading a book! These activities imply meaningful learning. I've just followed your Pinterest board since plants are a great part of Science content. Good scaffolded planning - that's a great CLIL teachers' characteristic.
